Our story begins a little over 4 years ago. We were both approaching the autumn of our lives and I, Carelyenne was tired of the singles scene. Even though I had a few relationships, attended many singles functions and had a good time, I just couldn't seem to find the kind of guy I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. So finally I joined Soul Mates. They stated that they would introduce me to 12 eligible men based on my preferences and interests.

Ellwood on the other hand was not without a companion for very long. But it seemed that something was missing from these relationships also. He had joined Soul Mates a few years before and had met many potential partners, he was still searching for the right partner.

I met Ellwood as my second introduction on November 15, 2001. We met at a local hotel and had a friendly drink and conversation. Following that, he called me almost everyday and we had lengthy discussions about life, work, people, partners, disappointments and successes. We started to date and he invited me to come for Christmas dinner at his house on December 23rd. After dinner and dishes, he asked me to sit down that he had something he wanted to say to me. I thought, "Oh oh… here is the big dump!" But much to my utter surprise, he dropped down on one knee and with tears in his eyes, asked me to be his wife. I was shocked! Of course I said "yes."

We got married on May, 3, 2002, and we will be celebrating our 4th wedding anniversary this year. The road has been a bit rocky here and there, but ultimately, we are both happy and glad to have been brought together by Soul Mates.

If we had not joined Soul Mates, we probably would still be out there searching.
